To all my friends in St. Bernard and Plaquemines. We are evacuating soon. We have to get a few loose ends tied up. Byron and I will be taking our girls and my In-Laws out of harms way to Bessemer, Alabama. Please Please Please be safe. My parents will be in Mississippi with my Mother's Sister.
Don't forget your insurance and personal information. Back up your pics on disc and take those sentimental and valuable ones with you. Putting them up high won't work as we found out in the past.
Please leave a comment and let me know where you will be. Keep in touch. Feel free to use my site to communicate as we know cell phones did not work after Katrina.
I Love All of You!!!! Be Safe.
To anyone else who may be interested, I will post as things progress.

Wishing you all safety.
God speed and my prayers are with ALL of you in that area.
Ohhh Kristi....
I'm so upset..We are evacuating to Baton Rouge. Please call me when you get where ever you are going. I love all of you. Kiss the girls for me...no matter what we all have to stay together. I can't handle any more separations. Love you all....and to all of my church friends who read this blog...I love all of you sooo much. Stay safe and please call me if we can't come back.
Melba
We will probably be 1 hour further north than Bessemer(Eva Church), but we can meet up with you and the Hume clan at some point.
Love and Prayers,
MissRiya, Eloise, Byron's Little Buddy, and Hop. By the way what are y'all doing with your chooks?
Melba, We Love You Too!!! Eloise said to tell your daughter that she is sorry that she is graduating out of your class.
Kristi,
I know we will be in Tuscaloosa till at least Tuesday....Hopefully we will be able to go home and live happily ever after by then...If not we will make plans after that....Love Ya'll...

We are no longer going to Baton Rouge, but we are going to Mississippi to stay with Angela instead. It has been crazy around here. Kassidy packed almost her entire room. She is also bringing her car...this will be her first road trip, and she will be driving alone since we are bringing all four of our vehicles. Gene threw all of his stuff in big black bags. Avery packed a box also...with some of his favorite things. Otherwise we packed anything we couldn't replace (pictures, etc.), important papers, my office stuff, and enough clothes to get us through the next month of so.Unfortunately it isn't feasible to pack our entire house. Of course, we will be bringing our pets, Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Lizzie (Lizzie survived Katrina, but we are taking her this time). Once everything is packed we will secure our house and make sure that anything that can fly around (lawn furniture, flower pots, etc.) is in the garage. I'm so nervous I keep going in circles. Evacuating is so different this time.
Hope y'all stay safe! Just wanted to let you know that you have an award waiting for you when you get a chance.
Hope your family (most importantly), your home and your garden fared well. Love your blog. Thanks for it!
